I've never felt more like I was in a Parisian cafe

than I did in George's Donuts & Merriment in West Portola.

I stopped by after their grand opening to

get some donuts for my brother's surprise birthday.

It's probably the most beautiful cafe I've ever seen in San Francisco.

Chef Janina has spent years creating these old world doughnut recipes,

and the team of three spent days hunting in vintage

shops for the perfect platters to put them on.

All the details are impeccable and King George is actually real.

if you stay celebrate and enjoy the french fries and the donuts.

He's the owner's grandfather who owned a laundromat next

and this place is kind of an ode to the owner's childhood,

They do have some evening plans in the work.

Really fun like date night menu with za’atar focaccia almonds and olives…

Right now they're closing at 3:00 because they're selling out super quickly.

So the reco is to come by midday for a champagne brunch

and make sure you try the key lime and brioche doughnut.

Our instructor wasted no time diving into what

we would be creating a full breakfast set,

thoughtful demo showing us the basic hand-building

was really cool pressing them gently into the clay,

Olesia hosts the most dreamy vintage heart cake workshops in the Mission.

and there are even mimosas and light bites to enjoy during class.

and then you're walked through each step,

which was actually a lot harder than I expected.

You then learn three different piping techniques and are given

the freedom to experiment and make your cake your own.

I was told mine was giving Ursula vibes from The Little Mermaid,

I've never decorated a cake like this before,

but I loved being creative and also leaving with a sweet treat I was proud of.

We had an absolute blast checking out the latest pop-up bar in San Francisco.

This cereal-themed cocktail lounge is where nostalgic Saturday

mornings collide with grown up Saturday nights.

We made our way to Westwood and then headed downstairs,

The entire space was decked out in playful cereal themed decor

We couldn't resist snapping a pic with this

shopping cart that was overflowing with cereal boxes.

They even had a Cereal Mascot Hall of Fame.

Our top picks were the Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Rice Krispy slushies,

served in adorable mini milk carton glasses.

with throwback cartoons and those iconic Y2K jams setting the perfect mood.
