I have found the perfect staycation in nature,

All just a stone's throw away from the city.

The Inn At the Presidio has recently undergone renovations

A cute inclusive perk at the Inn is its self-serve wine bar,

offering a collection of local wines and spread of appetizers

Take in the history and elegance of the communal 

Conveniently located a couple doors down is Calibri.

This Mexican bistro provides a lively atmosphere.

but be warned that the lolly has a kick to it.

The guacamole here is delicious and I had just enough room for the Torta Del 

After all that food, not only was bed calling

but the self serve European continental breakfast

provided a welcomed fresh and light spread

Located behind the Inn is the ecology trail.

You'll be surprised by just how much wildlife you'll find here.

Alternatively, utilize one of the Inn's complimentary bikes

and take in the iconic view of Golden Gate Bridge.

It was really cool walking around seeing the liveliness

of the market, while being surrounded by the skyscrapers

that makes this beautiful city what it is.

but throwing the scenery and being right by the water

I made my way over to the front of the Ferry Building,

where you can find even more stands with a

large array of flowers and more produce among others.

Whether you come on their Saturday hours or during the Tuesday and Thursday ones,

A lot of people know about dinner at Spruce,

but brunch felt like a hidden gem on this Saturday morning.

They are playing cozy music at just the right volume for an intimate date together.

We started off with 2 lattes and this delicious blackberry scone cake.

They gave us some Bloody Mary oysters to cleanse our palate,

and look how beautiful that parfait is my girlfriend had.

Next she had the salmon confit and I had this great spruce omelet.

they gave us some gold leaf topped ice cream sandwiches for her birthday,

Everything was so amazing and it was such

a great way to celebrate this special occasion.
