• This would also make for a great first or second date! It’s an activity but there’s also plenty of time to chat/hang out 🫶🏻

One of my resolutions this year is to do more friend hang ~activities~

my roommates and I went to a candle making

class at Wick and Pour and absolutely loved it.

We got this cute table to ourselves and started by picking our container and scent,

They even had this ramen noodle scent, which was not our favorite,

Then we got to work pouring and mixing our scents

and wax while they blasted music and we jammed out.

We got to customize our color and then the instructor

surprised us with ✨glitter✨ to put in our candles.

Then she cured the candles so we could each take them home

that night and we did a little graduation ceremony from the class.

I finally went to the viral cake decorating workshop I've been

seeing online and made myself a cute little Lorex looking cake.

which is a cake decorating workshop in Brooklyn

hosted by this creativity studio called Recreate Collective,

where you get to be creative and get a sweet treat,

which I'm not sure what took me so long to go.

you're free to decorate your cake however you want.

One of the girls was saying how fun it was doing the things our parents never let us do,

They also have solo days where everyone comes solo with the idea of making friends,

which I definitely want to come back for.

And when I said you get a sweet treat at the end,

I mean you literally get a slice of cake on top of the cake you've decorated.

you get to have your cake and eat it too.

I highly recommend going to one of their classes or events,

as this was one of my favorite classes to date.

💪 Pro tips
• Ask for the Chief Cozy Officer Experience Menu - it’s fully included with your stay and seriously levels up the whole trip.
• Room service is available daily from 8 am - 9 pm (breakfast in bed? Yes, please!)
• There's a recreation room with games like pool, shuffleboard, a poker table, and more. I recommend grabbing a guide when you arrive at the property!
• I did the yoga class and it was amazing - 100% recommend.
• The mixology class was Vik’s favorite, so definitely worth trying too!
• You can add extra experiences for an additional cost like horseback riding, in-room massages & facials, fly-fishing, guided stargazing, and private yoga.
• Feeling adventurous? There are some cool off-site activities if you're up for a drive (just ask the staff and they’ll give you the full list!).
• There are also hiking trails on the property - don’t forget your comfy shoes!

This weekend we stay at the most beautiful room I've ever seen,

every moment here felt so precious and relaxing

the Chatwal Lodge is tucked away in the Catskills and with only 14 boutique rooms,

and the most gorgeous bathtub I've ever seen.

We didn't have to plan a thing and the meals were fresh,

Each day we received a calendar of activities to choose from,

so we decided to level up our bartending skills at

a mixology class which turned out to be Vik's favorite,

and relaxed during an afternoon yoga session.

I just found my new favorite workout in Brooklyn.

cardio and strength training in this beautiful,

but thankfully this class was super beginner

friendly and all about moving our bodies,

The environment here felt very personable,

which I love and was also structured in a way that broke

up the choreo into super manageable pieces that by the end,

as a very much non-dancer was able to follow the entire routine.

I almost didn't realize I was working out because it

was so fun until I worked up quite a sweat.
