I've got the perfect fall escape for you where you get to get cozy,

relax in nature, sit by the fireplace and eat delicious food.

Just 10 minutes of a gorgeous drive away from Issaquah,

Treehouse Point is a woodsy bed and breakfast with seven gorgeous

treehouses to choose from - each with its own charm.

We checked into “Temple of the blue moon” treehouse which has a

small bridge leading up to the front door and has the coziest interior.

The room had a cute reading nook and a cozy bed

as well as a beautiful balcony with sweeping views of the forest.

we went to the lodge where they have a huge collection of games to choose from

so we spend the night enjoying bananagrams and puzzles

and look at these cute ducks! As it got cold,

we lit the fireplace and enjoyed the cutely packed s’more kits provided. 

marshmallow but they were absolutely delicious.

We really thought nothing could be better than waking up in a treehouse

until we followed it up with some delicious hot homemade breakfast.

No, seriously, I could live my whole life off of the

homemade granola. After a hearty breakfast and a nice hot shower,

we decided to check out the snoqalmie falls just a short drive away.

The view was breathtaking and it was amazing to see the falls so up close. 

we decided to have a picnic at the treehouses which we devoured in about 10 minutes.

One of my favorite activities there was to feed the fishes.

There were so many trouts that were so hungry and just beautiful to look at.

After this, we took a short walk down to the river.

The sound of water rushing by was instantly calming

and the fall foliage was simply ethereal.

The colors were so vivid that we got our paintbrushes out and got to work.

We ended up spending hours by the water just watching the leaves

fall and painting away to wrap up this already wonderful day.

We sat by the community fire pit roasting marshmallows and making some more s’mores 😂

I honestly cannot recommend this beautiful oasis enough.

The video doesn't even come close to describing the mystical,

wonderful feeling in person and I can't wait to visit again.

Adventure into Light Maze

If you're looking for a unique and festive Christmas

experience for the f look no further because enchant

is probably one of the coolest experiences you'll find in Seattle.

Not to mention, it's the world's largest Christmas maze

This experience takes you through performances,

an ice skating rink and beautiful lights caps around every corner.

My friends and I also got the Premier Pro

which helped to skip the big line outside

and get some free drink tickets and vouchers.

We were escorted through a separate passageway and then entered

the stadium to see this crazy set of lights.

There were so many people storefronts and shops to look from,

but we started with getting a few drinks to get the night started.

I loved this cute light of cup. The cocktail drink came in

and we all thought it did the job. Well, we also got a winter

cocktail that had a nice tart taste to it.

But my favorite was the Spike Hot cocoa that we got later on in the maze itself.

Entering the maze and exploring the different quarters was a wonder.

There was just so much to continuously look at and be bewildered by

like these light lines with holographic colors, interactive dance floor,

cute photo ops and my favorite being inside the main Christmas tree.

I also thought it was cute how there was a

quest to search for eight hidden stars like these,

which added a fun little game element for the kids.

The cherry on the top was definitely the ice skating rink.

My friends had never ice skated before and this was the perfect grounds to do so.

Despite the many people, ice skating that we got plenty of time on the rinks.

Skating to the sound of Christmas music was definitely a

vibe with how bright and lively this event was.

It really felt like we were in New York and the fact that it was indoors was a plus.

It was great how there was something for everyone here.

So I definitely see this as a great activity for friends, family or even a date night.

I went in the summer here but you can go up in the winter too.

The ride is about 15 minutes and is stunning. You get a perfect 360 view all the way up.

• You’ll see a QR code in the café that leads you to an instructional video I would highly recommend watching! We had never painted pottery before, and there were a few useful tips in there to make sure everything went smoothly. (Such as not putting paint on the bottom of the piece and the necessary amount of coats for items that will hold food) 🍚
• It takes between 7 and 10 days for your peace to be fired and ready for pick up! 🫖
• Take a photo of your piece when you’re all done! You’re asked to fill out a little piece of paper with your name, phone number, and a description of the piece, but that picture ensures that you get the correct piece when you go to pick up! 🤳

📚 Need to Know
• Trees may be cut from along roads, from forest plantations and in the understory of older stands.
• Be sure to be on Forest Service land. Know before you go.
• Cut trees only if there is a standing tree within 10 feet to avoid denuding areas.
• Do not cut trees within 100 feet of campgrounds or trailheads.
• Christmas tree cutting is PROHIBITED within the Quinault Special Management Area, designated wilderness, and Research Natural Areas.
• Any evergreen is available for cutting except Western White Pine
• Tree Height: 15 feet maximum
• Do not remove the top of the tree; cut down the entire tree
• Washington State Law requires a hauling permit for hauling more than five trees on/in a vehicle at one time.

• If the Olympic National Forest is too far of a drive for you, there are several other national forests in Washington that you can hike into to get your perfect tree. You can find a forest near you at https://www.recreation.gov/tree-permits. 
• Check the maps closely to ensure you’re getting your tree from the right location! Every map you need will be linked on recreation.gov, so download the maps, then pick the area you’re going to drive to.
• Don’t forget to tell a loved one where you’re heading and download your Google Map because cell service is spotty the further you get into the national forests!

• We initially drove to a trailhead, but ended up finding a patch of new growth forest just before the trail that had exactly what we were looking for in our Christmas tree.

💪 Pro tips
• Bring gloves because fresh trees are sappy! Also dress accordingly because it’s cold this time of year, and you likely won’t be on a specific trail, so brush and thorny bushes might just try to tear up your legs!
• Bring a battery powered sawzall if you have one. Otherwise a handsaw will work just fine; it’ll just take a bit longer to get your tree chopped down.
• The tree we picked was surprisingly light, but, if you’re aiming for a larger tree, bring a rope to tie to it to help you drag it back out of the forest!
• If you’re concerned about getting a tree that’s too big or too small, you can bring a measuring tape. We actually brought a seamstress measuring tape to check the circumference of our tree to make sure it would fit in our tree stand.

Then, by the time the driver has parked to wait in line for the ferry, you can have your tasty crepes before others waiting for the ferry get in line for them!

Then you'll drive into the Olympic National Forest to

begin the search for your Hallmark worthy Christmas tree.

We found trees that were too small and way too big before hiking a bit

further into the forest to find the tree that was just right for us.

Then we hauled it back to the truck, and had a little happy dance.

Then while waiting for the ferry back to Edmonds,
