Wanna fulfill your inner child's dream of living in a treehouse?

I've got the perfect fall escape for you where you get to get cozy,

relax in nature, sit by the fireplace and eat delicious food.

Just 10 minutes of a gorgeous drive away from Issaquah,

Treehouse Point is a woodsy bed and breakfast with seven gorgeous

treehouses to choose from - each with its own charm.

We checked into “Temple of the blue moon” treehouse which has a

small bridge leading up to the front door and has the coziest interior.

The room had a cute reading nook and a cozy bed

as well as a beautiful balcony with sweeping views of the forest.

we went to the lodge where they have a huge collection of games to choose from

so we spend the night enjoying bananagrams and puzzles

and look at these cute ducks! As it got cold,

we lit the fireplace and enjoyed the cutely packed s’more kits provided. 

marshmallow but they were absolutely delicious.

We really thought nothing could be better than waking up in a treehouse

until we followed it up with some delicious hot homemade breakfast.

No, seriously, I could live my whole life off of the

homemade granola. After a hearty breakfast and a nice hot shower,

we decided to check out the snoqalmie falls just a short drive away.

The view was breathtaking and it was amazing to see the falls so up close. 

we decided to have a picnic at the treehouses which we devoured in about 10 minutes.

One of my favorite activities there was to feed the fishes.

There were so many trouts that were so hungry and just beautiful to look at.

After this, we took a short walk down to the river.

The sound of water rushing by was instantly calming

and the fall foliage was simply ethereal.

The colors were so vivid that we got our paintbrushes out and got to work.

We ended up spending hours by the water just watching the leaves

fall and painting away to wrap up this already wonderful day.

We sat by the community fire pit roasting marshmallows and making some more s’mores 😂

I honestly cannot recommend this beautiful oasis enough.

The video doesn't even come close to describing the mystical,

wonderful feeling in person and I can't wait to visit again.

• Not every night out has to be on a Friday or weekend. I recommend booking a show as a midweek pick-me-up. It’s also a great excuse to dress up!

Enjoy a jazz show at Dimitriou’s Jazz Alley

Hey, come with me to a jazz concert in South Lake Union.

But first let's grab some dinner at Kedai Makan

which is really special to me since I'm Eastern Asian.

And we typically don't see Malaysian representation in the Seattle food scene.

so we got a variety of things to try, starting with the cucumber salad.

which is the net bread, and split the nasi lemak

Alley, which has been around since I think the 1980s. It’s a really unassuming building.

But when you walk through the door, you get greeted by someone at the ticket counter.

And from there, you'll go downstairs to the hostess who will seat you.

It's a pretty large space packed with different seating arrangements.

There were tables and booths and some seating upstairs, and we got

sat at a little bar and we ordered the mango lemonade,

but we went to Fred Wesley and the new JB Horns and it was so fun.

I cannot stress how fun this night was and you

should definitely check it out if you haven't already.

Scope Screenings

Underground film festival 

If you're like me and enjoy all things, film and music.

I recommend checking out scope screenings.

This underground film festival happens the last Tuesday of every

month from now until December and emphasizes short form narratives,

and even documentaries from creatives around Seattle and beyond.

I was lucky enough to attend the most recent screenings and had

so much fun meeting new people and connecting with other creatives.

Unlike other film festivals, I've been to scope screenings, allows the directors,

audience questions and dive deeper into the work

they've created if you want to feel inspired or even find your new favorite artist.

I recommend checking out scope screening.

Bringing it back will save you money on refills, and it’s better for the environment than plastic bottles. Plus, they make a great non-alcoholic alternative gift for friends’ dinner parties. My partner and I share them with friends frequently and they are always a hit!

💪 Pro tips
• This is a great spot for hanging out with drinkers and non-drinkers alike! If you feel like drinking alcohol, their Dark and Stormy is an icey piña colada with a ginger twist. However, their non-alcoholic options are just as flavorful: I recommend trying their seasonal (limited edition) blackberry lavender or the year-round classic, pink guava.
• RGB’s is also a good spot for friends who have food sensitivities. Their main recipe is super simple, containing only four ingredients: Ginger, sugar, lemons and water. Each additional flavor only adds that ingredient, so their blueberry adds blueberries and their guava adds guava. This makes it a great spot for folks with dietary restrictions, too.
• The staff here are super friendly: Keep an eye out for cat-loving Curtis and their manager, Drew, who is also a TikTok influencer! @drewsylva

This is partially because it's easy for drinkers

I went after work today, so I grabbed my favorite alcoholic drink.

Their Coconut Dark and Stormy is a pina colada with a ginger twist.

I also grabbed a growler of their limited edition Blackberry Lavender,

which is my current favorite non-alcoholic choice.

Many Rachel's Ginger Beer locations contain a secret chicken chop nestled inside.

is one of the best casual fried chicken spots in Seattle.

I am a huge fan of their chicken strips, which you

can make more or less spicy depending on your preference.
